We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our forward-thinking Treasury team located in the downtown Toronto financial core. Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Treasury, you will have the opportunity to influence several key areas within the team.

As Treasury Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for:
1) Cash forecasting and balance reporting to manage liquidity and support cash minimization initiatives across the global portfolio;
2) Assisting with the flow of funds for global real estate transactions as well as managing activity on Oxford’s credit facilities;
3) Acting as a subject matter expert and database administrator for the Kyriba cash management platform; and
4) Playing a key role in supporting and improving the team’s overall internal controls, risk and governance.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly/annual forecasts to support liquidity management initiatives across the global portfolio;
• Generating monthly cash balance reports, continuities and pro-formas to identify and action upon sources of cash accumulation;
• Assisting with flow of funds for global real estate transactions, preparing funding packages and providing Treasury cash desk support for transaction activity;
• Coordinating operational funding and disbursements and managing draws, repayments and rollovers on Oxford’s corporate credit facilities;
• Acting as a subject matter expert and database administrator for Kyriba;
• Assisting with the testing and implementation of subsequent modules and functionality within Kyriba as required;
• Management of the daily process to identify, resolve and mitigate instances of fraud and overdraft;
• Assisting Manager in analyzing and documenting the internal control environment, particularly the key risks and adequacy of existing controls while ensuring adherence with all Oxford and Treasury policies and controls at all times;
• Supporting the payments desk to ensure timely and accurate processing and troubleshooting of all wires and electronic banking transactions for Oxford’s global platform; and
• Providing assistance to regional and international Oxford offices on banking inquiries and assisting with ad-hoc projects as they arise.

To succeed in this role, you:

• Have a university or college degree with a focus in business/finance/accounting. Preference will be given to individuals holding the CPA and/or CTP designation(s);
• Have 2 - 5 years of relevant accounting, finance, banking or treasury experience;
• Are able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and tight timeline demands;
• Are a team player with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), as you will be expected to interact with internal and external contacts at varying levels;
• Have strong financial modeling, data mining and advanced Excel skills as you will be expected to create complex financial models in support of various Treasury initiatives;
• Are analytically minded with the ability to learn quickly;
• Possess the ability to develop a strong understanding of both domestic and international banking, payments, and cash management structures to effectively support the Treasury team’s global cash management mandate;
• Have the ability to “see the big picture” and develop a strong understanding of Oxford’s organizational structure to effectively carry out cash management responsibilities;
• Are able to “think outside the box” and recognize key risks, question existing tasks/methodologies with a view to improving overall processes driving efficiencies, and strengthening the existing control environment; and
• Are driven to achieving results and continuously strives to deliver the highest performance through creative thinking embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a team environment.
