We are looking for a highly motivated Supervisor, Energy and Technical Services to join our Operations team at Square One. In this role, you will be responsible for the supervision, monitoring and on-going maintenance of the Landlord HVAC, day to day operations, Electrical and Fire Life Safety System components of Square One Shopping Centre. You will also manage operating costs and assist the Energy and Technical Services Manager.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

Supervise the day to day activities of the Plant Operations team in ensuring all HVAC, Electrical, Life Safety, Plumbing, Telecom, and IT equipment operates at maximum efficiency by implementing clear, concise operating procedures and standing orders. Through Angus Anywhere, plan, organize and administer the preventative maintenance program by assigning tasks and ensuring of work order timely completion.

Manage operating costs through diligent planning and procurement.

Review supplier invoices for accuracy, ensuring timely approval, cost allocation, expense forecast, variance analysis, scheduling and payroll

Manage staff within area of responsibility by fostering and maintaining positive labor relations, providing regular feedback and assisting with training needs.

Increase customer satisfaction by building and maintaining strong relationships with our tenants through timely follow-up on occupant concerns.

Assist Energy and Technical Services Manager with the deployment of the Smart Buildings and Energy Management Plan. Respond to emergencies and coordinate equipment repairs when required. Assist with the day to day management of technical capital projects

To succeed in this role, you:

Post Secondary Education preferably in Building Environment Systems, Fire Protection

FMA, RPA Designation or equivalent

Building Environmental Systems Certification or equivalent

5+ years of supervisory experience in unionized workforce

3-5 Years maintenance / supervisory experience in large commercial environment with involvement by assisting in the engagement of consultants, suppliers in energy management projects, retrofits and equipment commissioning.

Strong people skills, computer skills and problem solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and achieve departmental goals under minimal supervision.

Working knowledge of Angus Preventative Maintenance Software, Siemens Energy Management Software and ITR Payroll System
