We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager – Tenant Coordination to join our Retail Design & Construction team. In this role you will be primarily responsible for tenant projects at Southcentre Mall in Calgary.
Reporting to the Manager, Retail Design and Construction, you will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing approval of Tenant store design drawings and the project management cycle of various retail projects.

You will be involved in feasibility, pre-feasibility, pre-Development/Construction, and post-Construction activity as well as coordinate projects in regard to base building, tenant work components, installations, items and issues related to the Tenant Premises for both development (new and expansion) and/or existing centre projects.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and supervising the Tenant Improvement construction
• Review and approval all Tenant Construction Drawings
• Managing and Supervising the Landlord Construction of various projects including preparing retail spaces for handover from Landlord to Tenant
• Liaise with Project Manager for Major Redevelopment/Renovations
• Review and prepare Schedule-C documents
• Source and complete Cost estimates for various projects for both Landlord and Tenant Construction
• Oversee Tenant construction process and complete deficiency reports
• General project management responsibilities such as municipal approvals, concept design, contract tender and administration/preparation monthly development reports to owner.
• Award construction contracts
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, Leasing agents, Building Operations
• Building strong relationships with external stakeholder, Tenant Representatives, Tenant Contractors, Landlord General Contractors and sub-trades
• Assist Manager of Design & Construction as required
• Other related duties as required from time to time

To succeed in this role, you:

• College or University Certificates/Diploma in design and construction
• Thorough understanding of building systems specifically HVAC, Electrical, and Mechanical
• Knowledge of Leasing documents specifically Schedule-C documents
• Good understanding of Retail design and construction techniques
• 4-5 years demonstrated experience working for a major landlord
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Strong MS Office and project management skills
