This position is a part of the overall Preventive Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for maintenance of all building HVAC equipment systems and performance of preventative maintenance, as directed. You will also be responsible for inspection and troubleshooting of problems in building and building equipment.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Operate building equipment and systems as directed by the chief and/or senior engineer
• Respond to tenant service requests in such a manner as to reduce tenant work orders and eliminate recurring problems.
• Use Angus Anywhere to complete preventative maintenance assignments and unscheduled maintenance tasks
• Inspects buildings for problems, troubleshoots possible problems, and provides solutions for repairs
• Use various productivity enhancing tools, such as I Phones, PDAs, etc., in the completion of tenant work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
• Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to promote resource sharing between Oxford properties, and promote
• Participate in Oxford Properties engineering training programs and initiatives such as 10 Hour OSHA as needed, or as suggested by the chief engineer or Senior engineer
• Comply with safety and environmental procedures, specifically hazardous communication programs, lock-out tag-out programs, asbestos O&M programs and mold awareness programs
• Inspect for building repairs, make simple repairs, and escalate more complex repairs to an engineer
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you:

• Three to six years’ relevant experience in operations, preventative maintenance and mechanical repair
• Enrolled in coursework leading towards license and certification (i.e. CFC refrigeration)
• Strong HVAC and plumbing repair skills including changing filters, hoses, belts, and inspecting equipment
• Good electrical skills, including changing ballasts, switches and taking AMP readings
• Strong knowledge of O&M safety standards and lock-out tag-out procedures
• Strong customer service skills
