We are looking for a highly motivated leader to join our Analytics, Insights & Innovation team in Toronto as Director – Data Analytics & Insights. Reporting to the Senior Director – Analytics, Insights & Innovation, you will lead our data analytics and customer insights program. In this role you will leverage your highly technical education and experience to ensure that we have the business intelligence warehouse, strategic data roadmap and visualization in place to drive success. In collaboration with your team of peers, you will drive outcomes by enabling data and analytics within the retail research, asset management, leasing, marketing and operations teams in addition to both internal and external stakeholders.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

•Turning complex data into easy to understand visual insights that are aligned to business objectives
•Lead the design of dashboards and reports, and create data visualizations to identify trends and drive business insights and opportunities
•Develop frameworks and conduct robust analysis to deepen understanding of our customer and tenant behavior across multiple asset classes
•Leverage and integrate disparate data sources and technologies working alongside IT and other stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies and improve data quality and access
•Develop a solution / framework for provisioning data for consumption by business users who are looking to utilize Tableau and/or data visualization
•Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and autmation of tasks within our real estate platform
•Developing best-in-class Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence methodologies combined with best-in-class Analytics & Insights scalable for a dynamic, innovative deliverables

•Have a background in quantitative predictive modelling and a Master’s degree in Spatial Analysis and/or Data Analytics
•Over 10 years of experience in an analytical role driving customer insights
•Proficient using data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Google Analytics, API’s)
•Proficient using analytics and programming languages (e.g. R, Python, Alteryx, SQL)
•Proficient in specialized GIS mapping and Market Research methodologies
•Have successfully lead the development of data insights within an organization
•Must be client facing, and a highly collaborative team player with an intellectual curiosity and passion for digging into data and mining for insights
