We are looking for a highly motivated Summer Analyst to join our Research team in Toronto. In this role you will have the opportunity to support Strategic, Investment, Development, Corporate Development, Risk and Portfolio Management group initiatives within Canada as well as across Oxford’s global platform. You will also be responsible for creating/improving the team’s infrastructure and processes, and expanding its capabilities.

As a member of this team, you will take part in:
• Conducting research for and assisting in the preparation of research reports containing macroeconomic, market-level, and asset-specific information on Oxford’s target markets;
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of commercial real estate market forecasting tools for Oxford’s target markets, and presenting forecasts to senior management;
• Investigating new opportunities and markets;
• Participating in the research, analysis, and execution of strategic initiatives;
• Insightfully discussing and interpreting results, identify key considerations and mitigants;
• Supporting Oxford’s global offices in London, UK and New York, USA through the provision of targeted market- and asset-level research;

To succeed in this role, you:

• Pursuing an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Real Estate, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Geography, Engineering or Urban Planning;
• Possession of (or working towards) a CFA and/or a professional accounting designation considered an asset;
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
• Strong inductive, deductive and critical thinking skills;
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail;
• Strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work well under pressure with multiple or competing deadlines;
• Work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
