We are seeking a creative, collaborative Director of Talent Acquisition to establish and lead the global OMERS Talent Acquisition team, as well as provide thought leadership to the strategic talent agenda.

The Director of Talent Acquisition will be accountable to lead the development and implementation of strategic talent acquisition tactics, including establishing an exceptional end-to-end recruitment experience which supports our businesses and the candidate experience. This leader will proactively explore and implement practices, in partnership with business leaders to attract and hire top talent globally.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

Demonstrating exceptional leadership/people skills: Ability to influence senior business executives and drive an enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy and align key stakeholders, partners and teams through building meaningful partnerships, while effectively conveying the value proposition.
• Being known as a strong people leader: Lead, develop, and manage an ambitious high performing team and support their professional growth and aspirations.
• Driving innovation: The Director of Talent Acquisition leads the development and execution of comprehensive recruiting strategies that will follow the rapid pace of change and enable greater candidate experience that drive higher quality candidates for the business to hire the top talent, while establishing a talent pipeline for future needs.
• Driving collaboration: The Director of Talent Acquisition will work collaboratively with Leaders, to better understand current and future workforce planning requirements. And will work with the recruitment team to coach, manage, and develop them, while actively supporting their professional growth.
• Driving insights with data analytics: The Director of Talent Acquisition additionally plays a leading analytical role where they are key in leveraging analytics to grow a data-driven and technically skilled recruiting team, as well as provide business insights. They will also be responsible to evaluate and introduce alternative strategies for future key technology.

To succeed in this role, you:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Have at least 10 years in working experience in a senior recruiting position, preferably working as the Head of Recruiting in a fast-paced and highly competitive business. The candidate must have a proven and successful experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes consisting of sourcing, screening, on-boarding, coaching, and terminating.
• Possess Strong communication skills: Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written form.
• Have strong competency in Computer skills/MS Office: Have superior computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and analytical tools, all necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports for Leaders.
• Possess strong technology/analytical skills: Be technologically adept and have a passion for conducting research and deriving business insights from data. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to analyze the performance of the department’s existent recruiting strategies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement, availing solutions, and further developing new and improved strategies.
