Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Analytics – Human Resources, the Senior Associate, Data Analytics will be part of a newly developed people analytics Centre of Excellence (COE) for OMERS globally. The Senior Associate, Data Analytics will gain an understanding of business needs and will leverage data to draw out key insights in support of the business strategy.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting strategies that will enhance OMERS position in the people analytics space
• Collecting and interpreting data and analyzing results to highlight relevant business information
• Performing analysis to provide relevant, credible and actionable analysis to inform business diagnosis
• Mining HR data, extracting trends, contributing to presentations to provide leaders an overview of their business, key opportunities/challenges and support decision making
• Supporting regular data quality and readiness reviews, maintaining the highest integrity, accuracy and consistency of the data
• Maintaining accurate and reliable people analytics information (datasets, metrics etc.) for HR and the business
• Supporting alignment of HR data governance with enterprise data governance protocols and standards, including the policies, standards and processes that need to be applied and monitored on an ongoing basis
• Contributing to and support the design, development and delivery of advanced diagnostic (dashboard-based visualization) solutions and establish delivery of standard reporting for the business, while triaging the intake and fulfillment of various reporting requests
• Establishing strong partnerships with key stakeholders

To succeed in this role, you:

• Hold a University degree, preferably linked to STEM and/or 3+ years relevant work experience
• Have At minimum 3 years’ experience in data and analytics, HR experience preferred
• Have solid experience building dashboards and data visualizations
• Possess excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Have strong experience in analytics, statistical analysis involving large and complex data sets, including a demonstrated thorough aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses
• Possess experience using statistical computing tools (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets. Experience with text analytics is an asset
• Have proficiency in business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
• Have experience and knowledge of HR Systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
• Possess excellent relationship management and communications skills
• Have proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have solid knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
• Have excellent time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency
