The role of the Infrastructure & Operations Project Manager is to manage key projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. Management of the overall project, interdependencies and resources is critical to the success of this role. Infrastructure knowledge and experience is required, including understanding of infrastructure technologies (Server Hardware/Software, Virtual and Cloud infrastructure concepts, Networks, Desktops etc.).

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

•Provide technical leadership to ensure the project accomplishes all goals and is delivered on time, on budget and within scope
•Develop and manage project plan, defining all dependencies (including external) and critical path to meet target schedule
•Accountable for overall quality assurance of IT infrastructure deliverables and artifacts
•Manage stakeholder relationships and set clear expectations with key business stakeholders (Director, VP, SVP) throughout project lifecycle
•Support assignment and mobilization of project resources including contractors and vendors as required
•Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
•Resolve project issues through facilitation or direct intervention
•Assess, manage and mitigate project risks. Communicate risks to the Steering Committee and project team members as appropriate
•Manage project change requests and communicate impacts to stakeholders and development teams
•Provide clear, timely and accurate communications to the project team members on all aspects of the project, including decisions made by the Steering Committee
•Manage the implementation of governance processes across projects as required and address expectations and concerns through clear communication and pro-active follow-ups
•Work closely with Oxford Service Desk and IT Operation leads ensuring projects are transitioned to operations for day to day support
•Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and/or unsuccessful project elements
•Focal point representing Oxford IT during the acquisition (purchase) and disposition (sale) of portfolio assets, ability to travel to sites within Canada, US and Europe to conduct site surveys to gather information
•Engage I&O team members to identify potential efficiencies and streamline repeatable projects that Oxford IT regularly undertakes (acquisitions, dispositions, UC implementation, annual technology obsolesce plan etc…)
•Participate in the advancement of the IT Project Management Office by developing frameworks, processes and procedures to be applied to IT projects

To succeed in this role, you:

Formal Education & Certification:
•University degree and/or related job experience
•Project Management Institute, PMP Certified
•ITIL Certified

Knowledge & Experience:
•5 years of direct project management experience, managing a range of IT infrastructure projects (servers, storage, voice, data, wireless networking) as the primary discipline
•Experience in managing application projects as the secondary discipline
•Proven past experiencing working amongst diverse cross functional and virtual teams
•Demonstrated experience working with Executive and Technology leaders in a collaborative/interactive manner
•Able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
•Demonstrated experience in having worked in or worked with the Program Management Office (PMO) for at least one large-scale business project/program
•Demonstrated experience in managing project financials and forecasting
•Experience in various project development methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative, etc.)
•Experience in Real Estate industry is desirable
•Experience with Service Now ITIL and PPM suite is an asset
•Proven experience in risk management
•Proven experience in change management
•Proficient in project management software
•Excellent facilitation and communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Strong leadership skills to guide the project team through the phases of large scaled/medium sized implementations
•Strong problem solving skills to address project-related issues and risks.
•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
•Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
•Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
•Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, team members and other departments
