Reporting to Assistant Manager, Taxation, the primary responsibility of the role is to ensure OMERS and its subsidiaries meet all indirect tax compliance obligations, both Canadian and non-Canadian.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• prepare and organize all indirect tax forms
• prepare and coordinate all payment request and tax remittances in a timely manner
• reconcile tax accounts
• interact with the Canada Revenue Agency and other foreign revenue authorities to resolve payment and tax issues
• prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual GST/HST and other indirect tax-related filings
• develop and maintain tax control schedules and process documentation
• assist in preparation of audit responses

Other Projects:
• special projects and/or ad hoc reporting as assigned

To succeed in this role, you:

• minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• good organizational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• strong attention to detail
• proven ability to work effectively with teams
• proficiency in MS office software knowledge – Outlook/Word/Excel
• demonstrated strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
